About the Course
This course is designed to expose the participants to various techniques available to assist management to arrive at optimal financial decisions within a firm, including those of investment and working capital, financing and capital structure as well as dividend distribution.
Participant will learn how to analyze the financial strengths and weaknesses of a firm and decide on its short-term future financing and investment needs. They also learn how to analyze long-term investment projects, how to figure out long-term capital financing needs as well as the overall cost of capital and design a suitable capital structure for a firm; and in this process, examine the issue of dividend policy. In addition, they should learn how to use MS Excel in financial analysis.
This program can help the participants to comprehend the basic concepts of finance and it allows them to quantify and evaluate the approach to sound strategic management.
Course Approach:
Participants work in teams to solve a comprehensive corporate project. Each team is responsible for analyzing the financial position of a firm and making strategic recommendations. The recommendations focus on such areas as investment decisions, capital structure, dividend policy, and working capital management.
